Nairobi County Government has pledged to sponsor Secondary education for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates who will score 400 marks and above in the forthcoming national examinations.
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko made this promise on Friday during the distribution of success cards and other materials to candidates within Nairobi county.
“In case you score 400 marks and above Nairobi County Government will cater for your secondary school education, so it’s now up-to you to make your parents and teachers proud,”said Sonko.

The Governor is expected to visit over 200 public primary schools in the County distributing items such as geometrical sets,success cards before candidates sit for their national examinations end of this month.
This is part of the commitment made by the Governor to improve the quality of education in the city.
Education was part of his key pledges when he assumed office by promising to make it education accessible for all.
Recently the Governor launched a free education program for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) in all the public schools.
He allocated a capitation of Sh 3,815 to each child.
The County Government in partnership with Brookside is also implementing the free milk project to ECDE children which is part of the County’s efforts to retain the children in schools and help better the nutrition and health of students in pre-primary
