Raila, Ruto set to meet in Nyanza region

Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leaders Railoa Odinga are set to meet once again in Nyanza region in November where they are expected to share podium.

The two leaders are said to be meeting at the homecoming of one Don Bosco Gichana whio was relesed from a Tanzania jail after he spent five years in prison for momey laundering.

Mr. Gichana has attributed his freedom to DP Ruto, Raila Odinga , President Uhuru Kenyatta, Francis Atwoli among others who contributed for him to settle Ksh 15 million fine that was imposed by the court after pleading guilty to money laundering and fraud charges.

The home coming is likely to be held in Gusii stadium.

According to Mr Gichana, “We are waiting for two religious leaders before we get the date for homecoming which shall coincide with a memorial mass for my late mum.”

In trhe recent past days the two leaders have not been seeing eye to eye and their relationship has been questioned in many occassions but a few functions that have been held around the country have been bringing them closer to each other.

In August, Ruto met Raila in Nyamira during the burial of former Minister Henry Obwocha and political fireworks dominated the event.

The two leaders have reportedly been invited to the function and a source says they would attend due to magnitude it may have on the ground.

Having worked closely with Raila and Ruto in the past, Bosco is said to be at crossroads over the side he would take even as he prepares to join county politics.

“Both leaders have been invited. They are likely to come given the exposure the event will give to them in Gusii region,” said a source, who is not authorized to speak on behalf of Bosco.

Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, a relative to Bosco, has been working behind scenes to convince the popular businessman to join Ruto’s wing.
