Suicide or murder?? Kilimani on the spotlight in another mysterious death

Westlands residents witnessed a rare incidence when a man fell from the 17th floor of Delta Towers, Westlands.

 

According to police sources , the  Senior Price Water house Coopers (PWC) Consultant attached to the Forensics Department is said to have thrown himself from the company’s 17th floor offices on Delta Towers, Westlands.

The employee, identified as Stephen Mumbo is said to have been rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Confirming the incident was Kilimani OCPD Michael Muchiri who said that Mumbo committed suicide.

“Investigations over the matter have started and we shall get to the bottom of the matter,” he said.

A crowd of curious onlookers milled around the building as they watched the man being rushed to hospital.

Mr Ibrahim Juma, who witnessed the incident, said that he heard a loud scream as the man came down before landing on the balcony.

“It is then that people rushed and helped him up before rushing him to hospital,” said Mr Juma.

In a statement, the firm said the incident was unfortunate and a big blow to the PwC family.

“Our collective grief and sense of loss at this time is profound; but it cannot compare to what his family must be feeling. Our hearts and prayers go out to them,” said Mr Peter Ngahu, a regional senior partner.

Weeks ago kilimani woke to some disturbing murder in the area where a woman’s body was found in a bathtub in her house.
The lifeless body of 29-year-old Monica Kimani was discovered by her brother George Kimani in her house at Luciane Apartments on Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt Road at around 1pm on Thursday.
