Obado appears in Court alongside his aide

Migori County governor Okoth Obado on Monday appeared before Justice Jessie Lessit at Milimani Law Courts alongside his aide, Personal Assistant Michael Oyamo.

Obado and his aides have been in police custody for the past 10 days after the court denied them bail.

Today, the court is set to give a ruling into their bail applications.

Obado on Friday filed another application to have him released citing his health deterioration.

His Friday application came after he was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital for stomachache.

After rejecting an application to have Obado and Oyamo released on bail, Justice Lessit ordered for consolidation of Obado and Oyamo case.

The duo face murder charges over the slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno who was abducted alongside Nation Journalist Barrack Oduor ho managed to escape.
