I Cant’t Believe That Kenneth Muguna Has Agreed To Rejoin Gor Mahia

Kenneth Muguna has agreed to rejoin Gor Mahia once the transfer window swings open on December 1, according to club CEO Lordvick Aduda.

Free agent Muguna has been in talks with Gor management for the last few weeks over a possible return to the club, and the two parties have finally struck a deal.

“We have agreed on everything and we are waiting for the transfer window to open before we can register him,” Aduda told KweséESPN.

Earlier this year, Muguna left Gor for Albanian club FK Tirana after a season with K’Ogalo where he won the 2017 Kenyan Premier League title.

His stay at Tirana was short-lived, however, as injuries and other off-field issues saw him terminate his contract in June.

Aduda is confident that the attacking midfielder’s return will boost the team ahead of next season’s campaign.

“Muguna is a good player,” the CEO added. “He came here, performed well, got a deal in Albania and we allowed him to leave.

“He left in a good way and we are happy to have him back, he will bolster the team.”

The 2016 Kenyan Premier League Player of the Year previously featured for Western Stima and the now defunct Palos FC.

Aduda also revealed that they will bolster the team further ahead of next season.

Ugandan defender Shafik Batambuze is set to join Gor, and the team are in talks with other transfer targets.

“We want to have a strong and competitive team,” Aduda concluded. “We will have more new faces coming in, we are building a team that will compete in CAF competitions.”

Gor made history this year by becoming the first Kenyan team to qualify for CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
