ODM Party’s director of Communications Philip Etale has been blasted by Kenyans On Twitter for trying to incite Migori residents ahead of senatorial by elections scheduled for Monday October 8.
Etale took to his twitter account to tell Migori residents how Governor Okoth Obado resided in the same village as Federal Party of Kenya (FPK) contestant Eddy Oketch Gicheru.
Etale who noted that Obado and Eddy shares a chief in North Kanyamkago Ward urged residents not to allow a governor and senator to come from the same village.
North Kanyamkago Ward is where The Governor of Migori Hon. Okoth Obado and Eddy come from. They share the same Chief. Indeed, there’s is not a single county in the country the Governor & the Senator come from the same Sub-county, Ward and Location. If there’s, share it here.

This was in a bid to convince Migori residents to vote for ODM Party’s Ochilo Ayacko who is facing a stiff competition from Eddy.
The ODM Party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday and Friday camped in the region to campaign for his preferred candidate Ayacko.
However, Kenyans on twitter didn’t take easy Etale’s statement and trolled him for being Odinga’s sycophant.
Some said told off Etale on Monday elections and urged him to let Migori people choose a leader of their choice.
Here are some of the reactions the ODM Director of communications had to face.
And there’s no single Clause in the CoK that bars people from the same area from occupying elective positions, if that’s the people’s choice so be it… It’s democracy. If they are the ones who can, in the eyes of the people of Migori, work for them then who are we to question?

I’ve supported ODM. I know the script. My maternal grandmother comes from North Kanyamkago. My uncle is a chief also there. I’ve ordered them to get the vote out for the young man. I have no idea the FPK party colours. It’s the youth this round.

Stop telling us where Eddy comes from, tell us what Ochillo has for the people of Migori. When will we stop this cheap politics? Only God knows.

So what’s your point?,You ODM sycophants lack even what to say to the voters. That’s up to us people of Migori again if Eddy is a good leader the way we believe, you cannot stop his election just because he hails from the same region with the Obado though not as close as you say
