Arsenal had some big predictions for teenager Emile Smith-Rowe after he scored his first goal for the club.
The youngster was part of the Gunners squad that won 3-0 against Qarabag in the Europa League last night.
Unai Emery’s side scored early through Sokratis Papastathopoulos before Smith-Rowe finished off a second-half counter attack.
The north London side were without Henrikh Mkhitaryan for their trip to Azerbaijan but the Englishman impressed fans in his place.
And the midfielder had a message for the Gunners faithful after the game, which appeared on the club’s official Instagram channel.
In the clip, the 18-year-old says: “Hi, this is Emile Smith-Rowe. Thanks for all your support. Happy to score my first goal for the club and hopefully more to come. See you on Sunday against Fulham. See you on Sunday against Fulham.”
“Good on him and fair play Unai for playing him,” one supporter wrote.
Another commented: “We are all happy for you dude!”
“Kevin de Bruyne in the making,” they said.
And a fourth went on to say he was already forcing one player out of the squad.
The teenager earned some high praise from Glenn Hoddle for his ability to use both feet.
