First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Thursday bought a champion bull for Sh670,000 at the Nairobi showground.
It was the supreme champion in the livestock auction at the ASK Nairobi International Trade Fair at Jamhuri Grounds
The bull is a cross breed of Boran and Simmental.
The two-year-old bull which weighs 650kg, belongs to Kenya Seed Company-Elgon Downs farm in Kitale.
President Uhuru Kenyatta also bought a Born bull weighing 560kgs at Sh380,000 while Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri bought another one weighing 540kg for Sh380,000.
Nairobi governor Mike Sonko bought a two-year-old bull weighing 460kg at Sh280,000.
According to Hosea Sirima, head of production at Kenya Seed Company, last year the President bought the winning bull for Sh1.2 million. It also belonged to their farm.
