“If Waiguru is clean, who really stole the 791b ?” KOT to EACC

Debate rages on as Kenyans demand answers from the  Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. Anne Waiguru today took to her twitter and stated that although she agrees that there is progress in the case, further investigations need to be done.  “This is progress. However I agree with with the that there should be further investigations. If both & have established Kabura was lying who then was she working for? Where did she take the money in the sacks? Whose agent was she?”

As stated in reliable sources; In February 2016, Kabura filed affidavit in court accusing Ms. Waiguru and other senior government officials of masterminding the alleged theft of Ksh.791 million from NYS through suspicious tenders.

A few months ago, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru then demanded that the anti-corruption agency and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) make public findings of investigations into an affidavit filed by Josephine Kabura, a key suspect in the first fraud case at the National Youth Serv

ice (NYS).

In a letter to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) CEO Halaqhe Waqo, Waiguru said the anti-graft body’s delay in disclosing the findings has continued to cause her negative publicity,

Ms. Waiguru was later cleared of any wrongdoing in the NYS scandal, with EACC writing to Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua informing him that it did not find any evidence to warrant her prosecution.

Kenyans have urged the EACC to investigate further and provide answers on what really happened. Beyond that, they also want to see action taken and the masterminds behind NYS 1  brought to book.
