Michy Batshuayi is determined to return to Chelsea and does not want to make his loan switch to Valencia permanent.

The Chelsea forward joined Valencia in the summer in search of regular first-team action, after new boss Maurizio Sarri sanctioned a loan deal.

Batshuayi has yet to establish himself at the La Liga side, but was prolific while on loan  towards the end of last season at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

With Sarri preferring Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud at Chelsea, Batshuayi would be forgiven for seeking a move elsewhere, but the Belgian said his intention is to return to Stamford Bridge.

He said, “No I’m not looking for a permanent move. I’ve so much respect for Chelsea and I love them. This loan is important for my development, to show how good I am so that I can go back to Chelsea a better player. Everyone knows there’s real emphasis on technique in La Liga and I’m a technical player; in that sense it’s a good fit. But all leagues are a good fit for me I can play anywhere. Germany and England were good fits too.”

Sarri’s arrival at Chelsea has sparked a quick turnaround at the club, with the Blues unbeaten in the new season and just two points off top spot in the Premier League.

But, there was no room for Batshuayi in Sarri’s plans and the striker admitted he had not heard anything from the Chelsea boss or the club.

The former Marseille man said, “I haven’t spoken to them, not at all. That’s something for my agent and Chelsea to take care of, but I’ve not spoken to the club or Sarri,”

Batshuayi has been eased into the Valencia side after returning to pre-season late due to international duty, but scored his first goal for the club against Celta de Vigo in his first La Liga start.
