The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission today took to their social media to explain their intention in regard to bible study.
“The Bible Study Guide is intended to help Kenyans interact with the Bible and discover God’s position on corruption and his direction on living a corruption free life.” reads tweet
“Every member of our society has an opportunity to contribute to the success of the war against corruption. Regardless of your status in the society, you can make a difference. The Bible Study Guide inspires us to act and to believe our country can be free from corruption.” reads tweet.
These tweets raised concern and debate as some questioned whether the commision considered other religions before making that move. Below are some of the comments
Hope you’ve considered other religious texts as well but it’s not a great idea at all. People know what God’s position on corruption is. What has stopped these people from perpetrating corruption?

wah.. this is so low. An average Kenyan will steal while holding his bible on one hand and keep some of the stolen money on the Bible as Sunday’s offertory

How will the Bible guide be of use to the Moslems who read Koran, Indians who read the Vedas and Atheists who doesn’t believe in anything?

Why only bible, how about corrupt people from other religion and worst of all the atheist who don’t even believe the existence of God.

Hii ni jokes. As much as I appreciate the Bible, what about those from other religions..for sure this strategy is flawed. I think its time we disband this commission. This is a joke!
