The Tharaka Nithi County Assembly has adopted the budget circular for the 2018/19 financial year.
The document tabled by the Finance, Budget and Appropriations Committee provides guidelines for allocation of resources to various units and projects.
Budget committee chairman Godfrey Murithi, who moved the adoption motion, called for the implementation of the recommendations to ensure projects don’t stall.
This happens amid the high rise of the country’s wage bill as Kenyans goes to social media to protest the scrapping of the MCAs and women representative posts.

They claim they are over represented and the high budgeting in the current systems of government causes the highest wage bill witnessed in the country.
Currently MCAs earn a salary of clause to Ksh. 504,000 which comes as a result of the allowances stipulated to them by the salaries and remuneration commission of Kenya.
