Days after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the 2018 Financial Bill into law, he went for a trip to New York City with the intention of discussing key agendas that will be of benefit to Kenyans.
Below is the agenda of President Kenyatta’s visit according to a poster shared on twitter by Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President ; Dennis Itumbi.
1.Participate in the 23rd general assembly
2.Reaffirm multilateralism and shared responsibilities
3.Discuss peace and security
4.Champion youth leadership and entrepreneurship
5.Promote investment in Kenya
6.Promote KQ launch of direct flights
The above areas of discussions are important to Kenya because the current state of the nation is worrying for the country. First the huge debt we have as a country; can be addressed by agenda number 5 on the list by encouraging investment which can boost the country’s economy.
Reported murder cases are on the rise and therefore this demands for immediate action to fill the insecurity gaps.
In the agenda list, the youth are also factored. Youth empowerment and leadership is very important for the future of Kenya; under the same, perhaps youth unemployment can be addressed as well.
President @UKenyatta left for New York, USA, to attend the 73rd #Unga – on the sidelines of the conference, he will push for support & investment consistent with the #Big4Agenda & champion the Blue Economy Conference set for @KICC_kenya, Nairobi, in November @ForeignOfficeKE pic.twitter.com/YYGWnctHAN
