Lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna has branded Raila Odinga as a messanger following his backing up of the 8% VAT tax that was signed into law by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday before leaving for New York.
Miguna says that Odinga supported and lobbied the passage of 8% VAT on fuel by mobilizing ODM party MPs led by party chairman John Mbadi who voted for the passage of the tax on Thursday.
This has seen the cost of living going high following the rise of Kerosine price and imposition of taxes on telecommunication services, banking services, betting and mobile money transfer services.
President Uhuru on Friday left for New York in the US shortly after signing the 2018 finance bill into law.
The President left for the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73).
Mr. @RailaOdinga: Kenyans are not zombies. You supported and lobbied for the the passage of 8% VAT on fuel. You have joined @JubileePartyK in their looting sprees and become @UKenyatta‘s messenger of doom. You support high commodity prices and oppressive measures. We’ll revisit.

Miguna who is also concerned about the president’s trips says Kenyans are not Zombies and notes that soon they shall revisit the current leadership.
