Arsenal new summer signing Lucas Torreira has revealed that he dreams playing for Argentine club Boca Juniors at one stage of his career.
Torreira joined Arsenal from Italian club Sampdoria back in July for a deal reported to be around £26M. Torreira had an outstanding 2017-2018 season that earned him a spot in the Uruguayan World Cup squad, helping his team to a quarterfinal finish.
The 22-year-old started his career with Montevideo Wanderers in his home country before moving to Italian club Pescara in 2013. The youngster then joined Sampdoria in 2015 after impressing for Pescara.
Torreira opened up about the club he would like to play for in the future, “At some point I would like to play for Boca. I hope I can achieve that dream I have.” The midfielder is yet to start an English Premier League game but started in the 4-2 win over Vorskla in the UEFA Europa League.
