Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale believes that the team is now more ‘relaxed’ and doesn’t focus only one player after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo left Real Madrid in the summer transfer window to join Juventus in a deal believed to be around £100M. There were reports of Bale leaving the Madrid based club in the summer transfer window but with the appointment of Julen Lopetegui, The Welshman decided to stay. Ronaldo was instrumental at Real Madrid helping them to four UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga titles.
Bale notes that Real Madrid are more relaxed with Ronaldo, “Obviously it’s going to be a little different from having such a big player there. It’s maybe a bit more relaxed, yes. I suppose there is more of a team, more working as one unit rather than one player.”
Bale assisted Isco in the 1-1 draw against Athletico Bilbao over the weekend and has scored three goals so far this season.
