The Premier League Golden Boot is the individual trophy which is awarded annually to the player who ends the season with most goals in the league. Forwards play a vital role in a football match as they have the final responsibility to latch onto the final opportunity and score the goal which may have been created by some beautiful passes and organized efforts of their teammates. Life of a forward is not easy as every year fans expect them to perform their best and bag as many goals as possible to help their team win and eventually be a top contender to win the Golden Boot.

The Argentine forward announced his arrival to the league with a bang in the 2011-12 season where he scored a late winner to help Manchester City win the title.

Since then he has been a consistent scorer for the Blues every season and has helped them to win two more titles in 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons respectively.

Aguero is known for his quick feet and supreme ability to finish even when he is surrounded by many defenders. He has scored a total of 146 goals in 210 appearances for Manchester City; last season he finished with 21 goals in 25 appearances for them.

In recent years, Harry Kane has established himself as one of the best forwards not only in the English Premier League but all over the world. He is just 25 years old and is already captaining his club and country.

He stands at 6’2” which gives him an advantage in the aerial battle against defenders though he is not one of the pacey strikers but his ability to finish makes him one of the most lethal players in the world.

He has been a consistent scorer for several years now as he has scored 110 goals in 154 appearances for the Lillywhites. Last season he was just two goals short from clinching his third PL Golden Boot as he finished his season with 30 goals in 37 appearances while Mohamed Salah finished with 32 goals.

Last season was undoubtedly the best season in Mohamed Salah’s career as he performed at every stage for his club be it Premier League, domestic cups or UEFA Champions League. Salah is mostly known for his outrageous speed which he uses to cut inside from wider areas of the field and finish the play with his lethal left foot. He is not only blessed with speed but with amazing ball control in congested areas.

Despite not being successful for the London giants Chelsea now Salah has become one of the best scorers in the world and is improving season after season. He has played for Liverpool for one season and has scored 32 goals in 36 appearances.

He has started his season with 2 goals in 4 appearances and will be looking to recreate his last season’s form to help Liverpool lift there first PL title in almost 30 years. Mohamed Salah was awarded the PL Golden Boot award last season for his 32 goals in 36 games breaking the record for most goals scored in a 38-game season.
