Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has handed a boost to the ‘Gunners’ squad after he returned to training ahead of the game against Newcastle on Saturday.
The Uruguayan picked up a calf injury playing for his national team as they beat Mexico 4-1 in a friendly on Saturday as he was forced to watch on from the sidelines in the second half.
Yet, it now appears as if the injury scare was just that, and the 22-year-old will be in contention to play some part at St James’ Park.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery posted a picture on social media, which showed Torreira in training with Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette.

Despite being yet to start for the ‘Gunners’, Torreira could be key for the North London side this season.
The midfielder assisted Lacazette’s winning goal last time around against Cardiff City.
