Sneijder: This is my last battle in orange jersey

Sneijder: This is my last battle in orange suit. I enjoy the game every second.

In the Dutch 2-1 victory over Peru, Sneijder put on the 10th orange shirt for the last time, wearing Nike for his special captain’s armband debut. In the end, with Depp’s two goals, the Dutch team 2-1 reversed victory over Peru, and Sneijder also successfully completed his 134th game for the Dutch team.

After the game, Sneijder said: “This is a special night. I enjoy the game every minute and every second. Fortunately, we still won. This victory also made this night even more beautiful.”

Sneijder had created a single-handed opportunity for Woomer, but the latter unfortunately failed to score. Sneijder said: “Yes, it is a pity that Wormel didn’t go in, but the game itself is quite good.”

“I feel this in my heart. This is my last game at Arena Stadium (now renamed Cruyff Stadium) and the last game I wore in this orange suit. I spent one. Wonderful night, but everything has an ending.”
