Sharon Otieno’s Mum has revealed the secrets of her daughter’s relationship with Migori Governor Okoth Obado.
According to Melida Auma Otieno her daughter was in a relationship with Obado as she had been promised she would be given lucrative county tenders.
Melida, however, says that the promise of tenders for her daughter’s businesses was not kept and that she ended up getting pregnant.
In her statement, “He lied to my daughter that he would award her business tenders in the county. My daughter even registered a company believing Obado would give her the business deal.”
Sharon’s mother said that Governor Obado was aware of the pregnancy, saying that they had exchanged phone calls and text messages on the matter.
“There is evidence in her phone log and texts.
The girl’s phone is with the Migori County Commander (Joseph Nthenge),” the victim’s mother claimed.
She now wants the Migori Governor to be investigated over her daughter’s death.
Following the arrest of his personal assistant in connection to the murder, Obado has distanced himself from the incident, saying the aide acted independently.
The PA, Nicholas Oyuoma, was arrested after he was reported to have been involved in the abduction of Sharon, alongside Nation Journalist Barrack Oduor.
