Did Sonko shortlist a cartel as deputy Governor.

Image result for Agnes KagureIt has been eight months now since Polycarp Igathe resigned as the Deputy Governor of Nairobi County and left Governor Mike Sonko working all by himself.

Eight months down the line Sonko now feels ready to have a helper in this case a deputy governor.

The said governor has now nominated  new deputy governor to replace Polycarp Igathe where he narrowed down to  four names and now waiting waiting to consult with Jubilee Party leadership on who to pick.

NAIROBI DEPUTY GOVERNOR

Those in the running are former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, corporate guru Agnes Kagure, lawyers Karen Nyamu and Jane Weru.

However his list has ignited a social media debate especifically targetting on one Agnes Kagure.

Ms. Kagure has apparently had some land scandals. When she was first proposed as Igathe’s successor, she was facing a court battle where she has been accused of owning a Karen land illegally.

Apparently Ms. Kagure owns a piece of Land in Karen that had earlier been termed as acquired illegally with forged papers

According to Ms. Kagure, she bought the land from the late Roger Bryan Robson for Sh100 million.

Another case that is haunting her is over another plot in Nairobi’s Umoja Inner Core, in which the court has called for a full trial to determine how she bought the property, which is also claimed by one Joel Munene.

Activist Boniface Mwangi has also gone ahead igniting a social media conversation where he stated by accussing President Kenyatta of associating himself with cartels yet claiming to fight them in his tweet he said

In another post Boniface accused agnes of grabbing Roger Bryan Robson land and bragging to the Guy Elms about her powerful connections.
