Buffon sets new record! PSG’s oldest player in the history of Ligue 1

The first round of the French Ligue, the defending champion Paris Saint-Germain played against Caen on the first match of the league.

Italian goalkeeper Buffon was the starting goalkeeper in the game, which means that Buffon, 40 years and 6 months old, has become the oldest Parisian player in the history of Ligue 1 .

Buffon, 40, debuted at the Parma Youth Team and played more than 200 times for Parma. In 2001, Buffon joined Juventus Legion until this summer to join Paris Saint-Germain. 

In the national team, Buffon kept the record of the number of appearances of the Italian national team and participated in the World Cup finals five times.
