Ousmane Dembele has been the name on every Arsenal fan’s lips when it comes to deadline day signings.

The Frenchman has only been at Barcelona for one season, following a £96million move from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp.

Dembele played in all three of France’s group stage games at the World Cup in Russia and then in the quarter-final win over Uruguay, but did not get off the bench for the semi-final or the final.

There were reports in Spain suggesting that the Catalan giants, while reluctant to give up on the forward after just one season, would listen to offers for him in order to raise funds for other transfer activity.

Reports in Spain from Mundo Deportivo suggested Arsenal are willing to fork out £10million on a loan move for the 21-year-old, with a view to paying another £90million on a permanent move next summer.

But these reports are wide of the mark after the youngster update fans about his future on social media today.

As reported by Marca, Dembele took part in the live broadcast on FM_Guru’s Twitch earlier today and was asked about the interest from Arsenal and if he would be leaving Barcelona this summer.

Dembele is reported as saying: “I’m staying at Barca, I’m ready to play the Super Cup.” Dembele’s links to Arsenal heightened last week when he was pictured on social media with Arsenal players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan – both of whom he played with at Dortmund – Alexandre Lacazette and Matteo Guendouzi in London
