Roma to give Chelsea two days to outbid Liverpool for Alisson as they attempt to drive up £62million price

Roma are set to give Chelsea two days to make a bid before they sanction Alisson’s world record move to Liverpool.Jurgen Klopp tabled a £62million bid for the Brazilian yesterday – a deal which would see him become the most expensive goalkeeper in history.

But Roma are aware Chelsea are eyeing the 25-year-old as a potential replacement for Thibaut Courtois and believe they can get an auction going for his services.

Italian paper Il Messagero say the Serie A club’s sporting director Monchi wants to see a further five million euros added to the price, which would equate to £66m.

And he is prepared to give Chelsea 48 hours to come up with the money to outbid Liverpool for his services.
If Maurizio Sarri has failed to make a formal offer by then, they claim Roma would be willing to sanction his move to Anfield.
