Jose Mourinho eyes blockbuster Kylian Mbappe deal

Jose Mourinho wants to launch an audacious swoop for Paris St-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, sensational reports claim.

The Portuguese tactician is looking to bolster his attacking options to close the gap on Premier League champions Manchester City.

And Spanish website Don Balon claim Mbappe, 19, has been identified as a priority signing.

They say that Mourinho wants a ‘glittering star’ through the door at Old Trafford this summer and plans to rival Real Madrid for his signature.

PSG signed Mbappe from Monaco on a season-loan loan and will have to pay a staggering £166million to complete a permanent deal over the next two years.

But Don Balon suggest that UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules could see him leave the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe has already sparked doubts over his long-term future with PSG having admitted that he is unlikely to see out the entirety of his five-year contract.

“I have a five-year contract and I am happy here,” Mbappe said. “PSG have given me the opportunity to play and develop. Next year, I will be here, but all five years of my contract? I do not know. We will see – that is football.”
