Liverpool physio makes Salah revelation ahead of Real Madrid clash

Mo Salah will break his Ramadan fasting on the day of the Champions League final according to one of Liverpool’s fitness coaches.

Given the game kicks off at 7.45pm, there had been some concern as to if the player would fast or break the religious practice in order to be in the best possible shape, and it seems the latter will come to pass.

“We were in Marbella and the nutritionist established a work plan,” physio Ruben Pons said on Spanish radio.

“Friday and the day of the match he won’t (fast), so it’s not going to affect him.”

It’s vital for Liverpool to be in their best shape of the season, and while Jurgen Klopp has told the players to go out there and enjoy themselves and give everything, in a final you never know what will happen.

The Reds of course lost the Europa League final against Sevilla, yet this time round Klopp knows his side are in a better place and certainly have better players.

Not only is the front line of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Salah one of the best – if not the best in world football, but the club also have Virgil van Dijk, who has made a huge difference to their defence since joining the side in the winter transfer window.
