Ghanaian star joins American side

Ghanaian winger Kalif Alhassan has joined American second-tier side Oklahoma Energy FC, the club’s Head Coach Steve Cooke has confirmed.

Alhassan played most recently with Dila Gori of the Erovnuli Liga in European country of Georgia and with the New York Cosmos of the NASL.

He’s appeared in 139 matches as a professional with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Minnesota United and Portland Timbers.Β  He played 93 matches with Portland, scored five goals, 12 assists and played 5,078 minutes.

He is one of three players in MLS history to record an assist in each of his first three home matches.
